SPRING EXPEDITION TRAINING COURSES

Oxford and Snowdonia

Throughout Spring

Over the next four months Fieldskills will again be running a series of environment specific expedition training courses.

Their tropical forest safety course has now been running for two years and has proved hugely popular with expedition staff, adventure travellers and students.

They launched savannah safety in March, with desert safety and mountain safety to follow in May.

EARTHWATCH VOLUNTEER OPEN DAY

Saturday 10th May

This open day is intended for those of you who are new to Earthwatch, and/or have never been on an Earthwatch project before.

You will be given the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the many expeditions on our programme, chat with past volunteers and talk through the specifics of volunteering with their experienced staff.

RALEIGH INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE WORKSHOPS

Raleigh Challenge Workshops are 3 day residential courses for venturers going on an expedition. Through team building activities, it is a chance to meet other people going to their expedition, learn more about their overseas projects, basic living in the outdoor environment and receive expert medical and equipment advice. Each Workshop is specific to the chosen expedition country.

Training includes Nomad's equipment and health demonstrations.

In April, the workshop will be for Costa Rica & Nicaragua. In May, June and August the courses cover India and Malaysia.
